B.A. Linguistics

The Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics at Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education is a dynamic program designed for students fascinated by the intricacies of language—how it is structured, how it evolves, and how it shapes human communication. Entry Requirements

To gain admission into the B.A. Linguistics program, prospective students must meet the following requirements:

  • SSCE/WAEC/GCE or Equivalent: Minimum of five credits including English Language and other relevant subjects.

  • UTME: A minimum score in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with English Language as a compulsory subject.

  • Post-UTME Screening: Successful candidates must also pass the university’s post-UTME screening process.

Applicants with A-levels, National Diploma (ND), or equivalents may also apply through direct entry, provided they meet the university’s course-specific criteria.
