B.A. in English Studies

The Bachelor of Arts in English Studies at Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education (AIFUED) is designed to cultivate a deep understanding and appreciation of the English language, literature, and communication. Course Structure

The B.A. English Studies program is thoughtfully structured to provide a comprehensive foundation in English language and literature. It spans four years, covering the following key areas:

Entry Requirements

Prospective students seeking admission into the B.A. English Studies program at AIFUED should meet the following:

  • SSCE/WASSCE/NECO Requirements: Minimum of five credit passes including English Language and Literature in English, plus any other relevant subjects like History, Government, or Religious Studies.

  • UTME Requirement: Candidates must sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and select AIFUED as their choice.

  • Post-UTME Screening: Eligible candidates are invited for a Post-UTME screening test to assess their proficiency and aptitude in English Studies.
