General Requirements

Applicants must possess the required qualifications in the relevant areas with emphasis on the specific specialization where indicated. TRCN certification and licensing shall be a key consideration for employment into ALL academic positions.

Specific Qualifications and Experience

1. Professor

Applicants should possess a PhD in the relevant discipline with a minimum of three (3) years as Reader (Associate Professor) and fifteen (15) years of university teaching and research experience. The applicant must have extensive publications in reputable journals with evidence of academic leadership and membership of relevant professional bodies.

2. Reader

Applicants should possess a PhD with not less than twelve (12) years of  university teaching/research experience and a minimum of three (3) years as Senior Lecturer. Applicant must have strong publication record, evidence of research productivity and demonstrated mentorship capacity.

3. Senior Lecturer

Applicants MUST possess a PhD with not less than nine (9) years of teaching and research experience, and not less than three (3) years as a Lecturer I in a recognized university. The candidate must have demonstrable evidence of publications and professional engagement.

4. Lecturer I

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in the relevant field with a minimum of six (6) years of teaching and research experience, and not less than three (3) years as a Lecturer II in a recognized university.  A PhD in the relevant field shall be an advantage. Applicants must possess evidence of teaching/research experience with scholarly publications.

5. Lecturer II

Applicants should possess a minimum of a Masters degree in the relevant field with a minimum of three (3) years as an Assistant Lecturer in a recognized university or a PhD in the relevant field. Some evidence of research output (papers, workshops, or conferences) shall be an advantage.

6. Assistant Lecturer

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in the relevant field. Evidence of research potential is desirable.

7. Graduate Assistant

Applicants should possess a First degree in the relevant field from a recognized university with not less than a Second-Class Upper Division. Must show interest in pursuing an academic career.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Medical Officer

• MBBS degree and full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
• Post-qualification clinical experience is an advantage.

2. Medical Scientist

• B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Science with registration by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).

3. Technologist

• HND/B.Tech/B.Sc. in relevant technical fields.
• Registration with relevant professional bodies required.

4. Nursing Officer

• RN/RM and B.Sc. in Nursing, where applicable.
• Current license with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

5. Confidential Secretary

• National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Secretarial Studies.
• Proven ICT proficiency and excellent communication skills.

6. Engineer

• B.Eng./B.Tech. in relevant engineering disciplines.
• COREN registration will be an advantage.

7. Planning Officer

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Geography or related fields.
• Experience in educational planning is desirable.

8. Statistician

• B.Sc. in Statistics or Mathematics.
• Competence in statistical packages is desirable.

9. Administrative Officers

• Bachelor’s degree in the Social Sciences, Humanities, Education, or related fields.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

10. Accountant II

• B.Sc./HND in Accounting
• Professional certification (ICAN/ANAN) is an added advantage.

11. Data Processing Assistant

• OND/HND in Computer Science or related fields.
• Practical ICT skills and the ability to handle data systems required.

12. Motor Driver/Mechanic

• Minimum of SSCE with a valid driver’s license.
• Trade Test certificates and demonstrable vehicle maintenance experience required.

13. Lab Attendant

• SSCE with credits in science subjects.
• Experience in laboratory assistance will be an advantage.

1.     Mode of Application

1. Membership of Professional Organizations
   Applicants for positions requiring professional certification must provide evidence of current registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., MDCN, NMCN, MLSCN, COREN, ICAN, ANAN, etc.).

   Applicants must be medically fit for service. Successful candidates may be required to undergo a medical examination.
